The exterior of the chest was painted white gloss. The drawers were lined with contact paper. The top left small drawer was missing a divider. The legs had been altered; or rather cut down and exposed to water. We fully restored & refinished the exterior of the chest of drawers. We dismounted the brass hardware and polished all the components. We replaced the front legs with new turned bun/ball feet. We masked in the interior of the chest and hand stripped the white gloss paint and undercoat. We hand sanded and prepared the walnut wood to be stained and finished in a traditional brown walnut with a touch of red, and buffed to a satin sheen. The original hardware was remounted.
