The finish on the top of the table and the bottom of the leaves was discolored, lifting and peeling from the veneered substrate. The pedestal did not suffer from the water damage as severely as the top and leaves. We fully restored and refinished the top, edge and apron of the table and leaves as per their original color and hand rubbed satin semi gloss luster with reconditioning to the pedestal by means of topical cleaning, polishing and reconditioning by method of French polishing only to ensure a proper luster match upon completion. There were reservations that the older distressing i.e.: scratches, dents and nicks will remain. There are a few isolated areas where the veneer has been repaired and/or replaced which will also remain.
